R&RArbb Communications, a marketing communications agency and Champion of Breakout BrandsTM, has formed Reputation & Risk Advisors, a new crisis and issues management division.

Reputation & Risk Advisors, provides immediate responsiveness through every stage of a crisis situation. The division focuses on crisis preparedness planning, issue-oriented advocacy campaigns, litigation communications, and programs to mitigate risk and reputational impact for organizations including guidance during M&A transactions.

“We have seen a significant increase in the number of organizations seeking high level counsel around issues that present a reputational threat,” said rbb CEO Christine Barney. “In today’s crisis-oriented environment, leaders are recognizing that, if they aren’t prepared for the unexpected, they are likely to experience threats from issues that spiral out of control.”

Reputation & Risk Advisors will be led by Laura Guitar, rbb Executive Vice President, who has more than 25 years’ experience guiding national and international organizations through periods of change, risk and opportunity. Her cross-industry experience includes strategic communications programming to develop and lead crisis response, identify and manage issue-based risk, and establish advocacy support.

The new division offers a digital-centric strategically integrated method to enhance reputation recovery and carries forward the recognized legacy of strategic crisis and litigation communications services established by Bruce Rubin, founder of rbb’s predecessor agency.  Rubin will serve on the advisory board for Reputation & Risk Advisors.
