The Social Networking category win was announced at the recent 2012 PR News Awards ceremony in New York. The awards honored the organizations and individuals behind the most innovative and successful digital communication campaigns. The win is a first for rbb in the Social Networking category and the agency received honorable mentions in the Facebook communications/uses of Facebook and Contest/games categories.
The Social Networking Award recognized the unique ability of rbb to deliver socially on the brand’s iconic Stork, dishing out sharp wit and humor on Vlasic’s Facebook page. The agency’s digital team also created “Team Vlasic,” portraying an elite group of BBQers, as well as a Facebook quiz to determine BBQ personalities with quiz-takers vying for a spot on Team Vlasic and a chance to win Vlasic-branded grilling kits and aprons. The campaign attracted 27,000 new Facebook “likes” in less than two weeks, and more than 64 million social media impressions from Facebook and Twitter were garnered.
