Miami, May 12, 2016 – rbb Communications has been recognized by The Holmes Report with a Gold SABRE Award for its product media relations (consumer media) campaign, The “Seekender,” on behalf of Hampton by Hilton. The announcement was made May 3 at the SABRE Awards celebration in New York City.
In 2015, agency research and creativity gave birth to the “Seekender,” a new category of travelers who take advantage of the weekend to pursue their passions – music, food and sports.
rbb Communications’ “Seekender” campaign helped Hampton by Hilton launch an effort to separate itself from the pack. The breakout strategy fueled an emotional connection between the global hotel brand’s diverse target audience and their 2,000+ locations worldwide. The program also focused on driving weekend business, the biggest opportunity for Hilton World Wide’s largest brand.
Through a series of innovative media techniques and influencer/consumer engagement, in four short months, Hampton by Hilton’s Seekender program helped increase weekend bookings across the portfolio by two percent, drove website traffic up by nearly 17 percent, and increased engagement across social media channels by 14.5 percent, creating actionable meaning to the phrase “working for the weekend.”
