Lisa Ross, president and co-founder of rbb Communications, was elected Vice-Chair, Americas, of PROI Worldwide, the largest global partnership of integrated independent communications agencies. The announcement was made by Richard Tsang, Global Chairman, PROI Worldwide, at the company’s recent annual meeting held in Sydney, Australia.

Ross was among three Vice-Chairs newly appointed to the PROI Global Management Board as representatives of the 70+ agency members of the Americas, APAC and EMEA Regions. The others include: Lena Soh-Ng, Senior Partner of Huntington Communications in Singapore, appointed Vice-Chair in the APAC Region and Henning Sverdrup, Partner of Släger Kommunikasjon in Norway, re-appointed Vice-Chair of the EMEA Region.

“Lisa, Lena and Hennings’ years of broad expertise across important industries and experience leading top agencies in their regions will add valuable perspective to the PROI Board,” said Tsang.  “We appreciate their willingness to serve as directors and look forward to benefitting from their judgment and counsel.” According to Tsang, the appointees join PROI Worldwide as it continues its growth with 74 agencies in more than 125 offices globally, which earned more than $700 million in combined revenues in 2016. “The new directors also reflect PROI’s commitment to inclusiveness through gender diversity,” added Tsang.

Ross has a career that spans 25 years supporting the development of breakout brands. She leads rbb’s Travel & Leisure and Digital Marketing Practices and is responsible for expanding the firm’s national and international client roster. Through the years, Ross has provided strategic marketing counsel to numerous hospitality, consumer and health-related companies including the American Council on Exercise, AMResorts, Cleveland Clinic, Hilton, Virgin Voyages and Zumba Fitness, among others.  Earlier this year, she was named among the Top 25 Minds in Hospitality Sales & Marketing and has been recognized in Who’s Who in Communications; Enterprising Women’s Top 100 Female Executives and the Business Journal’s Most Influential Business Women.  She is a member of the Women’s President Organization, and serves on The Strategic Forum’s board, HSMAI’s Marketing Advisory and Adrian Awards Committees. A former New Yorker, Ross is a graduate of New York University and currently resides in Aventura, Florida.
