The panel focused on the evolution of local business news five to ten years down the road, particularly concerning the influence of consumer journalism and the impact of consumers self-selecting news. Panelists offered possible solutions to the changing news ecosystem.
“As a public relations counselor, I spend every day helping companies figure out how to tell their stories, whether it be in print, online, or over the phone,” said Barney. “Every day brings new options, and the evolution of local news is a topic that affects everyone.”
The event drew close to 400 of South Florida’s top business leaders.
