For 70-plus years, PRSA’s Silver Anvil Awards have served as the industry’s most distinguished honors, recognizing the very best in public relations. The annual event credits organizations that have successfully addressed a contemporary public relations issue with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness. Silver Anvil judges assess the strategic nature of PR programs using four key components — research, planning, execution and evaluation.

Hampton by Hilton’s journey to inspire weekend explorers, dubbed Seekenders by rbb, to seize weekends to escape the daily routine went beyond targeting the general market – recognizing that multicultural is the new mainstream.  U.S. Hispanics are a growth segment for the award-winning hotel brand as research shows this consumer goes on more vacations, mostly quick getaways, than non-Hispanics. Reaching this audience with a series of innovative media techniques, influencer engagement, hands-on experiences, and a strategic digital campaign, the agency sparked a connection between the brand’s target audience and its 2,200+ hotels around the globe.

Results showed the Seekender microsite drove a 226 percent jump in visits to Hampton.com in just four weeks. The campaign also earned 64 million combined impressions to potential travelers, and significantly increased online mentions of Hampton, especially on Twitter.

The PRSA honor is among several awards already bestowed upon rbb in 2017.  Earlier this year, the agency earned a Platinum Adrian Award in Public Relations from the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International’s (HSMAI) also for the Hampton by Hilton U.S. Hispanic-targeted #Seekender campaign. This, in addition to earning nine other category wins including Lisa Ross being named among the Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Hospitality Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Optimization at HSMAI’s 60th Annual Adrian Awards Gala.
